MT MARION CEMETERY
The Mount Marion Cemetery Association is in need of your donations! We have recently had the grass mowed, brush cleared and are in the process of mending the rock fence. However, continued upkeep of the Cemetery cost a significant amount of money every year and to maintain the
grounds, we need your help.

On April 19, 2008 Dr. T. Lindsey Baker, Director of the W.K. Gordon Center at Thurber, TX, and Dan R. Gentry unveiled the Historical Marker for Mr. Gentry's sister, Mary Jane Gentry at Mt. Marion Cemetery. The marker dedication was attended by over 80 family, friends and those interested in the life and works of Mary Jane Gentry. She graduated from Thurber as Valedictorian in 1930 and became an accomplished educator, historian, author and world traveler.
